How the records are calculated
Average player ratings use all recorded, valid match ratings in the selected period: the selected season in Season, the full recorded history in Total, and all competitions on the combined page. Each rated match has equal weight; missing ratings are excluded. Every player row shows the number of rated matches and their date range. The separate Highest Player Ratings card shows individual matches.
This combined ranking includes completed seasons of registered national top divisions, Championship, 2. Bundesliga, Superettan and international club cups, including UEFA tournaments. Domestic cups, friendlies and other lower divisions are excluded. Each match is counted once. Club streaks stay within the same competition; referee totals and card averages combine the selected competitions, using known card coverage.
Team card totals use final team statistics, without adding player cards or event cards a second time. Missing values remain unknown. Second-half goals exclude extra time. Drama requires a complete goal timeline matching both final scores, with no conflicting source clocks. Own goals count for the beneficiary; shootout penalties are excluded. A winning goal establishes the final uninterrupted lead. Stoppage time means 90+ minutes, excluding 45+ and extra-time goals.
148793 of 392076 matches have a verified goal timeline. Coverage differs by statistic and season; lists show known records, not estimates.
Referees use the same canonical identity as referee profiles. Card averages require at least 10 completed matches with known totals for both teams; each referee row shows its own sample size. Matches without recorded cards are excluded from the average, rather than counted as zero.
