Explore football records on FootSam, from goal-filled matches and dramatic comebacks to player performances and club streaks. Choose a category and competition, then follow each record back to the matches and people behind it.
The main Top 10 page brings together 26 selected top divisions and international club cups from Europe, Asia, South America and North America. Search for a league or cup to explore that competition, or return to All leagues & cups for the combined selection.
Records use completed matches from the available history, including completed games in the current season. The displayed year range describes the recorded match years. Coverage differs between competitions and record types, so the combined view is a selection of verified records rather than every match played worldwide.
Matches highlights records such as the most goals in one game, the biggest wins and goals scored by one team. Discipline explores cards, fouls and timing records, including early red cards and concentrated bursts of cards where the event data supports them.
Drama follows the match story: comebacks, late winning goals, lead changes and quick replies after conceding. Select one category to focus the cards, or All to explore the available categories together. Timed records use recorded minutes and require the relevant event history.
Players compares individual performances such as goals, assists, goal contributions, match ratings and goalkeeper saves. Other available records include substitute goals, goalscorer ages and fast hat-tricks. Rating lists have eligibility requirements based on recorded appearances; missing ratings are excluded.
The country search in Players filters by player nationality. A selected country can include players representing clubs in several leagues. The country's leading entries are selected from the full verified source records, rather than merely filtering the few rows already visible in a card.
Clubs explores runs of results, such as consecutive wins, unbeaten matches, clean sheets and scoring streaks. Other records distinguish home performances or runs with several goals scored or conceded. Dates connect the displayed run to its recorded period.
Runs stay within one competition and break where the required match data is missing. They should therefore be read with their competition and dates, rather than assumed to combine every league and cup game a club played. Open linked teams or matches to explore the record's context.
Match statistics compares recorded match figures, including shots, shots on target, possession, corners and completed passes. More detailed records, including expected-goal comparisons, appear where the required statistics are available. A missing statistic is not treated as a verified zero.
Referees focuses on specific recorded runs, including consecutive matches with or without a red card and runs without a draw within one competition. These describe patterns in the recorded matches. General referee averages and broader comparisons are available through FootSam's Rankings and statistics views.
Each card shows the record value and the relevant match, player, team or period. Follow the linked match or profile for more detail. Scroll inside a card to see more entries, or use its corner arrow to open a larger view. Lists can contain up to 100 verified entries when enough records are available.
The update time identifies the published record data. Some categories contain fewer cards or entries because the evidence is incomplete or no qualifying record is available. Use the card title, unit, competition and dates to understand exactly what is being compared; Top 10 records are not limited to the five-match form window used in Trending Players.
